Alyssa's Allergies

Oh, man. Alyssa got her allergies from my side of the family...bless her heart. We aren't sure how this reaction got started this morning but thankfully, a dose of Benadryl did the trick.

Fun in the Mud

We had one little mud patch in our yard and guess who found it....that's right. Two sweet little angels. I'm just glad they didn't sit down in it!

Just a Swingin'

They all love to swing!

Feeding Fish

The girls spent some time feeding fish this weekend. The fish seemed pretty glad they did.

Father's Day

We were so glad to spend Father's Day with our dads.
Happy Father's Day you two! We love you!

Elohim

A few weeks ago as we were driving home from church, there was this amazing sunset. I just looked at it in awe of God's creativity. It was beautiful. He blesses us daily with His creation - if we just stop and notice.

Elohim, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, our Creator of the heavens and the earth.

Thanks to Sally, who enjoyed the exact same sunset and snapped this picture!

Movies!

We went to the movie at the Muskogee Mall this morning. They played Charlotte's Web. This was Eli's first movie. He was so excited...he went right to sleep.

Diamond Days in Sallisaw

We went to Diamond Days in Sallisaw this past weekend with some families from our church. There was music, food and a large area with those jumping toys for the kids. It was a late night but the kids had a great time.

Emily played this with her friend Gracie. Gracie didn't have to try hard to knock Emily over. Emily fell off on her own a couple of times.

Here are our jumping beans, Anna and Alyssa. (and some other girl - can't crop her out) They jumped and jumped and jumped and jumped.

Visit to the Library

We've joined the library reading club this summer. The goal is to read 25 books. We plan to read well more than that. The library has scheduled visitors come talk with the kids. Last week, we enjoyed seeing a juggler and this week, a gardener. Emily and Alyssa planted a sunflower seed in one cup (not shown)and on the cup with the face they planted grass seed. Their cup people should grow grass hair. I'm hoping this works as I'm a bit of a brown thumb.

What a Day!

What a day it has been. After a visit to the library, the Wendy's lunch I'd been promising, and three hours of gymnastics with a trip to Braums in the middle all with 4 kids..., dinner, clean up, and the forever attempt to get the pool ready for swimming... I'm so thankful for warm Brownies and cold Dr. Pepper. I look forward to posting a picture of the pool completed - hopefully by the end of the week. Don't hold your breath though, that was my goal last week. :-)

Emily is finally over her rash from Fifth Disease...just in time for Alyssa and Anna for to break out in their rashes today. Never a dull moment.

There's nothing better to ease the stress of the day than the giggles of our little blessings.

Isn't She Beautiful!

Sweet little Anna just loves make-up. Today she decided to put on a little eye shadow using a green marker she found.

Weddings

We were in a wedding this weekend! My cousin finally took the plunge. Alyssa and Anna were flower girls. Anna only made it about halfway down the aisle before she changed her mind and ran to Daddy. Alyssa made it all the way to the front. Emily was a junior bridesmaid. The girls did such a great job, looked beautiful and had so much fun. Here we are - all dressed up. Then there's Alyssa and Anna after a round on the dance floor and Emily taking a break with the Bride.
This wedding has got me thinking about a couple of things. First of all, I'm so thankful to have married my best friend, Casey. He is kind, loving, gentle, patient...I could write a book. Please know I'll be praying for your marriages this week. Secondly, I've been thinking about family. So many family members were in attendance at this wedding. What a blessing! Families are so important. God never intended for us to be alone as He created the family. I hope I can be a supportive and loving family member also....but Jonathan, I have to draw the line somewhere. :-)I suffered through your longhorn jingle two times at your reception!! Once, okay. but twice?? It sure was a lot of fun but this one is for you.....BOOMER SOONER! BOOMER SOONER! BOOMER SOONER! BOOMER SOONER! BOOMER SOONER! BOOMER SOONER! BOOMER SOONER! BOOMER SOONER! SOONER BORN AND SOONER BRED AND WHEN I DIE I'LL BE SOONER DEAD! RAH OKLAHOMA! RAH OKLAHOMA! RAH OKLAHOMA! GO OU!! Love ya!

Friends

We all had a great time this past weekend in Texas! We sure miss all of our friends down there. I prayed so long for a girlfriend that was just a genuine, easy going, God-fearing, fun loving, brownie eating and Dr. Pepper loving person. God blessed me greatly by giving me so many of you! Thank you all for the encouragement you gals have given me! You all are wonderful and we'll be praying for you as God sends you all in different directions.
This was Eli's first trip to Texas and here is the picture at the state line - a tradition everytime we cross a state line!
